The 3rd Annual Bosses Link Conference

May 25
3 min read

Over Memorial Day Weekend I had the privilege of attending the Bosses Link Conference, a premier event designed to connect entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovators. This year's conference was my first but it certainly won't be my last! The weekend, set in Miami during a beautiful time of year, provided me with an invaluable opportunity to meet people who share the calling of excellence and community. On top of all of the networking, learning, and collaboration I was able to be a part of, I also got the opportunity to do a book signing at Roots Books & Market - a black-owned bookstore in the heart of Miami, FL!

What's to Gain (Or Miss Out On):

  • Networking Opportunities: The founders, Diante (@tae.100) and Charles (@chilly_ill), are the masterminds behind this movement and they are intentional about bringing like-minded individuals together. I was able to connect with industry leaders and peers, building valuable relationships that I know will benefit my business and my life. If you're about growth, fulfillment, and group economics then I have no doubt that you'll also find the same community when you attend.

  • Expert Speakers: Not only are the creators masterminds, they're true visionaries. They know that context is important for content and they anchor the weekend around thematic points. This year it was all things personal growth - something that here at The KPIs of Life, we value principally. The conference featured a lineup of successful entrepreneurs and business experts who shared their insights and experiences around Physical Health, Mental Health, Financial Health, and Relationship Health.

  • Community Impact: I have participated in many conferences but one of the essentials that makes Bosses Link so special is their priority on community, and they don't just talk about it, they actually show up. During this year's Conference they hosted a real estate tour with a local Miami Real Estate investor where they walked students through the business of acquiring real estate while he showcased his properties discussing his actual process of building his portfolio. In addition to this, they allowed me to do a book signing at Roots Books & Markets, one of the premiere bookstores in Miami, FL!

  • Vibes!: Did I say that Diante and Charles are visionaries? They know that when it comes to experiences, location is key! The first year was Detroit, last year was Philly, this year they took it to Miami and if you know, you know... There's no better place to be than Miami during this time of year. To augment the Conference, they set up a golf outing, dinners, workouts, and a boat trip to curate an experience that was truly unforgettable!

Who's It For

I got a chance to get to know Charles and Diante a bit through this Conference and I'm sure if you ask them, they'd say that they built this as a space for black men. I share their sentiment; as a black man myself I often feel that we are left out of the docket of needs in this world. Having a space where we can share our unique experience and build community in productive ways is something I feel that we, as a community, lack. That being said, I also know that while the conference was built for black men it is not exclusive to black men. They make sure that the weekend offers opportunities to learn from all and share with anyone interested. They provided all participants with women keynote speakers to learn from and network with; events designed for all backgrounds, and an intentional emphasis on group economics outside of just our race.

In general I would say this this Conference is ideal for:

  • Entrepreneurs looking to expand their networks.

  • Small business owners seeking growth strategies.

  • Corporate leaders interested in innovation and collaboration.

  • Life learners eager to take advantage of the opportunity to learn or discover that one thing that could change it all!

This Year's Event May Be Over, But You Heard It Here First -This Is Just the Beginning!

The Bosses Link Conference is already being planned for 2027 and I hear A-Town and H-Town are the top contenders

So if you're thinking about trips for next year, put Memorial Day Weekend 2027 in one of those cities on your list of contenders. It may have been my first but as long as God gives me breath, it certainly won't be my last. Simply put, the benefits I gained by attending were impactful and empowering. So if you're looking for that plus a good time, I guess I'll see you there next year. Bosses build. Bosses support. But most importantly, bosses link!
